Today's pick is . . .

Peg

Peg 'o' my heart, don't let us part...that's how you'll be feeling
after a few minutes with this addictive little Java-based toy. You
remember this from long road trips you took as a kid: You try to clear
the cross-shaped board, all its peg holes filled but one, by jumping
one peg over another. The "jumped" peg will be removed from the field.
If there's more then one move available, just choose which move you
would like to do. You win by getting it down to just one peg.
Fascinating, maddening, free of charge, and altogether a good break
from Solitaire.

Wednesday is LOW COST, REFURBISHED, OR REBUILT SYSTEMS DAY.

Last years laptops and low-cost PCs make great buys to those who know
how to pick 'em. Look for great choices on bargain systems every
Thursday.

Fujitsu Lifebook E342 Celeron/300 -- $1399.95

The speedy-but-affordable Celeron 300a has helped drive the price down
on powerful notebooks. If you're squeamish about venturing outside the
Intel kingdom, this is great way to get a full-featured notebook at a
reasonable price. Equipped with 128KB of L2 cache which runs at the
processor's full speed, Celeron notebooks have been shown to perform
on a par with many PII systems. To further enhance performance, this
Fujitsu Lifebook also comes with 2MB of video memory, 32MB of RAM, and
a fast 6.4GB hard disk drive. The large 12.1" screen goes easy on the
eyes, and the 24X CD-ROM insures that you'll be able to access all
your favorite software.
